Warehouse Management System Administrator

Core Purpose:
  • To ensure all IT systems related to Warehouse Management are setup, run as per the organizational requirements, and deliver business value.
  • Continuously improve utilization of WMS/S2K system in the organization.
Key Responsibilities (S2K and WMS):
  • Engage with business leaders, users and partners to understand processes, needs, constraints and deliver solutions, enhancements and resolution of issues.
  • Serve as a focal point, super-user, and subject matter expert for all site users.
  • Create and maintain master data, system settings and user access control.
  • Perform timely monitoring, administration, problem resolution and user support for IT systems related to WMS/S2K
  • Train users on appropriate system use. Create and maintain user manuals, documentation and SOP
  • Monitor warehouse operational procedures and making recommendations;
  • Communicate system changes to the users, including translating system functionality into business relevant language
  • Document and communicate problem resolutions
  • Develop adhoc reports, extract requested information and reconcile data.
  • Provide off-shift hours support on nights/weekends (as required)
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor degree in IT or related
  • Minimum 5 years of experience administering Warehouse Management System/ Supply Chain systems.
  • Good knowledge of DBs for data extraction into report/excel.
  • Experience with S2K ERP systems and S2K WMS is a definite plus.
Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of supply chain and warehousing processes.
  • Ability to mesh business requirements and system capabilities to drive improvements
  • Effective verbal/written communication skills and ability to interact at all levels of the organization
  • Query and report development expertise.
  • Capable of managing and executing day-to-day responsibilities as well as user questions/issues as they occur
  • Ability to act as a liaison between operations and technical team members
  • Detail-oriented and excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Ability to write and maintain system documentation and user instructions
  • Deep understanding of the different components leveraged by the Warehouse Management System, including Receiving, Put-away, Inventory, Picking, Packing, and Shipping processes in a Distribution Center
  • Able to conduct investigations, make adjustments, troubleshoot problems.
