PRODUCTION ANALYST

Objectives and Purpose of the Job:

Assist in maintaining plant efficiency and productivity by providing the necessary administrative function for the efficient management of resources,  the optimization of returns,  and the achievement of targets and objectives

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Generate Manufacturing Orders (MO) in accordance with the Production Plan, ensure MO approval by the Production Manager, and the receipt of requested material into the production area
  2. Verify the products produced before entering the data in the ERP system
  3. Ensure raw and packaging materials requested are properly reflected in the ERP system daily – correct items, quantity and lot number(s)
  4. Ensure correct consumption of the materials in the ERP system for the products which are produced.
  5. Ensure materials used in the production process are aligned physically and in the ERP system daily/weekly/monthly
  6. Record data and compile reports on the resources involved in the manufacturing / production process  (personnel, equipment, raw and packaging material, finished goods, work-in-progress, etc)
  7. Provide administrative and supportive assistance to the Production Manager to ensure optimal management of the shifts
  8. Review all data sheets and shift reports and ensure sign-off by the relevant personnel and report anomalies of same
  9. Review the daily proper completion of the Hourly Production Report
  10. Daily record and monitor material usage, report anomalies to the Production Manager and ensure corrective action is taken to address same
  11. Daily record and monitor Plant Yield, assess shift reports of Rework and Waste and report anomalies to the Production Manager and QA Manager for correction
  12. Generate purchase requisitions for the production department
  13. Verify sugar and milk powder consumptions monthly
  14. Provide Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reports on Plant Production and all other Plant KPIs
  15. Review Plant performance and KPI with Production Manager, make recommendation for improvements and monitor their implementation
  16. Record the transfer of finished good to the warehouse daily and ensure that the ERP system is updated on a timely basis
  17. Inform Production Manager, Quality Manager and/or Accounts team of anomalies with the ERP system, which include, but not limited to, needing to adjust MO, changes with the BOM etc.
  18. Participate in daily, weekly and monthly stock count
  19. Enter time and attendance data for Production employees
  20. Keep abreast of trends and best practices in the production/manufacturing process with a view to recommend improvements in the policies, practices and processes
  21. File and maintain copies of documents related to the job function
  22. Participate in Food Safety, Quality and Security Programmes when required
  23. Perform any other duties duly assigned
Academic/Technical/Management: Experience and Qualifications:
  1. Diploma in Business/ Accounts/ IT or equivalent
  2. One (1) year experience in a manufacturing environment
Abilities; Skills; Experience; Aptitude and Judgement:
  1. Be a self starter with good planning and time management skills
  2. Be flexible, with good team-work, communication, and analytical skills
  3. Computer literacy and very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace
  4. Working knowledge of ERP systems
Other Personal or General Characteristics:
  1. Detailed oriented
  2. Accurate and efficient
