JOB SUMMARY
The role supports the accounting function of the company by assisting with the preparation of monthly financial statements by providing accurate and timely schedules and reconciliations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain fixed asset register and monitor Proposal for Expenditure account to ensure that items are classified correctly
- Ensure that customer accounts are kept up to date with invoices and payments
- Maintain fixed asset register and monitor Proposal for Expenditure account to ensure that items are classified correctly
- Reconcile company accounts for Fixed Asset, Receivables, Payables, Prepayments and intercompany.
- Code and record invoices in the ERP system.
- Prepare GCT and audit schedules as needed for reconciliation purposes
- Prepare journal entries where required
- Perform monthly physical stock-taking exercises and update inventory balances and generate associated variance reports.
- Prepare bank lodgments for commissary and miscellaneous income weekly
- Maintain petty cash register
- Perform other related duties consistent with the general level and nature of the job
QUALIFICATIONS
- First Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification
- One (1) year related experience
- Efficient in Microsoft Excel and computerized accounting systems and working knowledge of Standard Accounting Practices.
